Cas and Cal crew framing a metal horse barn on a farm in northeastern North Carolina

Metal buildings and farm builds

Barns, workshops and riding arenas, put up by our own crew.

Most contractors buy a metal building and hire someone else to put it up. We don’t. We order buildings direct from the manufacturer, and our own crew pours the slab, sets the steel and hangs the panels. One licensed contractor is responsible for the whole job, from the ground to the roof.

That is how we are building a working horse farm right now: a 36×45 horse barn with stalls, a 30×40 workshop, a 60×100 covered riding arena, the home itself and three-quarters of a mile of milled asphalt drive.

What clients say

Rated 5.0 stars on Google.

What began as a project to address a fairly small leak and replace a few windows turned into a much more extensive repair once hidden water intrusion and rot were discovered. The team took the time to thoroughly investigate the source of the problems and address them correctly rather than just fixing what was visible.

Cas and Cal Construction & Renovation stepped in and completely turned things around. You truly cannot tell where the damage had been. Communication throughout the process was excellent, and the crew was professional, polite, and extremely detail oriented.

Cas and Cal did a fabulous job at my house. I had them replace my front entry stairs and a large deck on the back of my house. The staff at Cas and Cal are not construction workers, they are craftsmen. I highly recommend this company.

Cas and Cal Construction recently repaired and painted the outside of my home in Kitty Hawk Landing. Brant Honeycutt and his team did an extraordinary job. If you’re looking for a company who does the work like it was their own home, look no further.

Owner is highly communicative and willing to answer questions both big and small. The crew worked long, hot days to get the job done and documented the job with photos along the way. Overall, I felt they were transparent, flexible, and worth the cost.

Brant was a pleasure to work with! Cas & Cal helped us with a garage conversion project. We ran into a few hiccups along the way that were resolved quickly and effectively, and we ended up with a beautiful new room! We love it.

Common questions

Questions we get asked most.

What do you actually build?

Custom homes, additions, remodels, decks and outdoor living, roofing and exterior work, flooring and interior finishes, and commercial projects. If it is a build or a renovation, it is ours.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We hold NC General Contractor license #104572, which covers both residential and commercial work, and we carry insurance on every job. You can check that number with the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors before you sign anything.

How do I get a quote?

Call (252) 573-0452, or send the form on the contact page. We come out, look at the job, and give you a written scope and price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation at the end of it.

What will my project cost?

Every job is priced on its own, because no two sites, specifications or finishes are the same. Call or send us the details and we will come out, look at the job and give you a written price.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope, and on how fast permits and materials come through. You get a timeline with your quote, and we tell you when something moves rather than letting you find out.

Ready to talk about your project?

Call and speak to Brant directly, or send the details and we will come back to you.
